Richard J Moir is a screenwriter and filmmaker from Ducklington, Oxfordshire who resides in London. He graduated from London Metropolitan University in June 2010 with a 2:1 degree in Film Studies, and for the past five years been making short films, hoping to make a career writing and directing for the big screen. He is also experienced in editing, having cut all his own films, and camera operating, working as a freelancer at Spotlight Casting Agency.

In 2009, Richard started getting a small fanbase with his first few short films. These included The Bathroom, See No Evil Hear No Evil and Everything Else, and The Narrator. See No Evil won Best Experimental Film and Best Film at the FilmMet Awards.

Throughout the next couple of years, Richard's short films were shown at numerous film festivals and gained praise. His twenty minute thriller film Seclusionville and comedy short The Wait were minor successes on the festival circuit, but his biggest film so far is My Life With(out) Her, which was his first film to be shown outside of Europe. Richard completed more short films in in 2012 and a documentary in 2013, all of which can be viewed through the Filmography page. He is now working towards his first feature film Temptation, and hopes to begin production in the summer of 2015.
